Tell Me It’s Going To Be All Right

The above inspirational pic came from the Facebook page of a friend named Maighread.

How many times have you worried that you’ve crossed over some line between vulnerable and needy? I swear I’ve asked myself this so many times that my cat Saffron could finish the sentence for me if he could talk.

Don’t dump all your woes onto people all the time. Every time you break a plate in your kitchen, don’t text your best friend to say “Guess what happened now? My life.is.over.”

Real strength comes from knowing who you are. Know what the issue is. Only you can fix or change or stop what drama is happening. Sometimes the situation is out of your control. That’s when you have to know that only you can control your reaction to it.

Ask for one thing and one thing only.

“Just tell me it’s going to be all right.”

If people offer more than that to you, then so be it.

This is what I’ve learned to ask for and it’s now what I expect. It’s not that hard to request.

Just tell me it’s going to be all right.
