I was recently encouraged when I heard that it is better to be single than to be married and alone.

I was taken aback for a moment when it hit me.

Singles need to embrace this opportunity to do things and go places to explore and learn more about themselves. This allows them to really figure out what they want from their marriage before embarking on the “I need to find a man (or woman) road.”

I also suggest stop speed dating for the perfect mate. Give yourself time to focus on becoming the right person instead of just waiting for the right person. Yes, we all want to be loved and valued, but we also want that love reciprocated so we must not rush these things.

Work on yourself because you can’t change the one you marry and marriage is until death do you part.
