The Reality Behind Closed Doors

Have you ever envied another person’s romantic relationships? You looked at this seemingly-perfect couple and thought, “What I wouldn’t give to have a love like that.” They’re always smiling on Facebook and maybe affectionate in public. They’re planning their lives together and if they’re not married then they seem on the path toward wedded bliss.

I’ve seen those couples and known two of them quite well actually. You can imagine I was recently stunned when both pairs split. Both couples were engaged to be married and from the outside, they looked perfect. I’ll admit I even envied them at times and assumed life couldn’t get any better for them.

As cliché as it sounds, it just goes to show things aren’t always what they seem.

You Might Create The Break Up You Fear

I hear about jealous people who creep around their significant others’ phones or Facebook pages looking for evidence their fears are true.

I get jealous just like other people, but I have NEVER been a creeper looking for dirt about my main guys in my life.

I found the following question and answer on a therapy website. I am not a licensed therapist:

Question-  I’m having problems in my relationship because of my jealousy and trust issues with my boyfriend. We have been together for a year and 1/2. Ever since my past relationship I have a hard time trusting men and it has been drilled in my head that all men cheat.

Living Well Is The Best Revenge

Inevitably, in all of our lives, we begin to fester in a situation that’s shelf-life has expired. Most commonly that situation is a relationship.

Sometimes it’s hard to remove ourselves from a person we’ve become attached to. You can’t break away and many of us are compelled to drive by their home, sit at your favorite bar or restaurant hoping they stop by, or even go so far as to invite them to a party or a holiday get-together. But then—horror—you see them walk through the door with someone else.
